Maybe it bright and cheerful (green was much more cheerful IMHO)... but for me gray on gray-blue is literally painful to read with my -6.5/-6.5 as letters blur...
*facepalm* I consulted a shitton of websites to make sure I had a scheme that wouldn't affect people with colour blindness.
Is there a site you can point me to to see examples of your particular problem? I try to accommodate everyone, but it's quite hard for me since I don't know how to identify the problem in the first place. (I liked the green and brown a lot too, but it was apparently hell for people with Red/Green colour blindness)
Severe myopia + a bit of photophobia... I don't know any recommendations though... But in general it just the fact that gray-blue and gray are just look too much like each other so letters blur unless I move closer to screen. Right now it's easier for me to read letters in reply window DESPITE them being smaller and white background not playing nice with said photophobia...
If you aren't sure, then there's no way for me to me know what colours would work. You need to help me to help you, cause I could change it to another colour and cause more problem, I'll try increasing the colour contrast, but that's the most I can do unless there's something I can reference.
I am very much a fan of the design. But then I liked the green design. Reading is easy and it looks pretty professional too. I 'm pretty sure I'm speaking on behalf of most of the people here when I say we appreciate all the work and effort you put not just into translating, but hosting and designing the site to better help your readers is beyond awesome. So thanks a ton!
Due to a certain user that keep posting links to sites that directly ripped from wuxiaworld, comments are being moderated and need approval for the time being.
Looks good, bright and cheerful. It's easier to see the text now. GJ
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and honestly u really should talk to the other project managers about doing this layout for the other novels.
ReplyDeleteThey don't want to, you will have to convince them, not me ;)
DeleteI wouldn't mind giving them a hand if they do want to, but many prefer it via the google doc since it doesn't need extra work. (ie. formatting)

DeletePS. Well, and changing color of the background is also not fun...
